2D & 3D Animation

2D & 3D Animation

Most 3D animation briefs ask for a shoot. We ask what the brand is actually trying to solve first.

We're Ellie, a 2D, 3D and motion graphics studio in Singapore. We reach for animation when it does something live action can't: show what the camera can't capture, stretch one idea across a dozen formats, or build a visual world nobody else can copy.

What we mean by 3D animation

3D animation isn't a style choice. It's a strategic one.

You reach for it when live action has a ceiling. When the product benefit is invisible, when the world you need doesn't exist, or when you need one asset to stretch across many formats without a reshoot.

Done well, it creates a visual world that's entirely ownable. Nothing a competitor can copy by booking the same location and the same talent. Done poorly, it's expensive wallpaper. The difference is almost never technical. It's whether the thinking was right before the first frame was built.

The work we do

3D Product Animation

For products that need more than a camera. Precise, photorealistic CGI that shows what live action cannot: internal mechanisms, material properties, scale, transformation.

3D Character Animation

Characters that become brand assets. Ownable, consistent, and scalable across every campaign and format without a single reshoot.

Brand Films and CGI Campaigns

One strong idea, executed through 3D. Built from the start to run across social, digital, OOH, retail, and events.

Motion Graphics and Visual Systems

For brands that need a consistent visual identity in motion. We design systems, not one-offs.

Explainer and Corporate Video Production

Complex product or service made visually clear. We find the one thing that needs to land and build the most direct route to it.

We've made this

Product animation for Samsung that made hardware feel human. Precision CGI, built to run across retail, digital, and launch events.

Tech storytelling for Intel: complex engineering made visually clear, without losing the premium feel the brand needed.

Campaign animation for Dan Murphy's Australia, delivered as an always-on, modular system across out of home and digital.

Why animation over live action

Live action is the right call when human warmth and realism matter most.

Animation is the right call when the product benefit can't be captured on camera, you need one asset to scale across many formats without reshooting, the brand needs a visual world no competitor can copy, or you want an ownable character or system that compounds over time.

We tell clients honestly which one fits. If live action is the better answer, we say so.
